Despite the clear global challenges that 2018 has brought I’ll be sad to see the end of this year, it’s been one of my favourites since starting Mallzee and for good reason. We’ve seen strong growth with our B2B offering, continued to improve our consumer offering and have the answer to a lot of the questions we pondered at the start of the year.
We’re not ones for resting on our laurels though and in 2019 we’re going to take things to the next level and to support this we’re currently looking for a bunch of great people to come and join Team Mallzee across our engineering, finance and commercial teams.

We’re working on huge problems… across B2B and B2C
Over 50% of fashion products ended up discounted at some point during their lifecycle last year in the UK. In an industry worth in excess of £50bn - that’s a lot of money being left on the table. At the same time, consumers are overwhelmed by choice and there is no truly dominant player in the UK fashion market, unlike flight or hotel aggregation no-one has won this market segment yet.
We’re a diverse, committed and hard working bunch
Tackling such a large problem isn’t easy or for the faint hearted. That’s why over the last 4 years we’ve grown to a team of 26 who are all equally committed to our mission but hail from a diverse range of background and areas of expertise. Their energy, approach and fun attitude mean coming to work every day is a joy.
We believe in people
Over the past 12 months, we’ve worked hard to put in place a culture and company structure that allows people to flourish from the start.
Regular team events
In the past 12 months, the whole team has been away on a 3-day spa trip, eaten a lot of Wings, played numerous rounds of mini golf, been far too competitive at Ping Pong and ate a lot of Deliveroo together. We’ve also come together at least twice a week to share what we’re all working on ensuring us we work as a whole company to innovate and make retail better.
2018 was big for us but 2019 will be even bigger
With the changes impacting the retail market our B2B offering, Product Future, is fundamentally changing how retailers/brands bring products to market by focusing on customer feedback and data not just gut feel. Our offering fundamentally improves the health of their whole business and with the challenges facing retail currently, this is not something that’s easy to ignore.
